    Wait, what?

The quirks and curveballs that make this one a little weirder than your average Hallmark. No spoilers, promise.

    • The protagonist uses a helium tank to incapacitate the killer, resulting in a high-pitched voice confrontation.
    • The recurring semantic argument about whether a group of sheep is a 'herd' or a 'flock'.
    • The bride's casual acceptance that her marriage is a sham because the ring is fake.

    Full story (spoilers)
Abby Knight, a florist and former lawyer, is preparing for the wedding of her drama-prone cousin, Jillian, to the wealthy Claymore Osborne. The event is fraught with tension, particularly due to the groom's snobbish mother, Gloria, and the presence of the 'black sheep' side of Abby's family, including Josiah Turner and his daughter Melanie. When a groomsman drops out, Abby's friend and local bar owner Marco Salvare steps in to help. During the reception, the body of Jack Sutcliff—Melanie’s ex-husband and a known hustler—is found in the parlor, killed by a blow from Abby’s own crystal punch bowl. Detective Dunn initially eyes Richard Bender, the husband of Abby's best friend Nicky, because his jewelry store alarm was triggered during the murder. Abby begins her own investigation, discovering that Jack had been selling stolen watches to Richard and was involved in a $2 million debt scheme with the groom, Claymore. The mystery deepens when Melanie is found dead in her bathtub in an apparent suicide, with a piece of the murder weapon planted in her room to frame her for Jack's death. Abby remains skeptical and investigates the wedding planner, Bethany Hart. She discovers Bethany’s real name is Beth Hammerholt and that she has a secret past with Jack, who had scammed and humiliated her. In a tense climax at the flower shop, Bethany confronts Abby and confesses to both murders. Abby manages to incapacitate Bethany using a helium tank—leading to a bizarre struggle involving high-pitched voices—until Marco and the police arrive to make the arrest. The film concludes with Abby’s family gathering for lasagna, while Jillian reveals her marriage is already falling apart because her massive diamond ring turned out to be fake.
