    Full story (spoilers)
The film begins with Georgia, a teacher in the US, finishing her school term and heading to London to visit her younger sister, Lizzie. Simultaneously, Graham Savoy, the star striker for AFC Newbourne, suffers a devastating knee injury during a match, putting his future in professional football in jeopardy. Upon arriving in London, Georgia is introduced to Lizzie's meticulously planned Christmas itinerary and her boyfriend, Henry. While out running errands, Graham accidentally collides with Georgia, spilling hot chocolate all over her and ruining a rare Christmas ornament she had just purchased. Unaware of his celebrity status, Georgia is unimpressed by his apologies, though Graham finds her lack of recognition refreshing. The plot thickens when Lizzie takes Georgia to a traditional British pantomime, where they meet Henry's family. To Georgia's surprise, Henry’s brother is Graham, the 'clumsy' man from the street. Georgia struggles with the revelation of Graham's fame and is initially skeptical of how quickly Lizzie and Henry's relationship is progressing, fearing her sister is rushing into a marriage proposal. Graham, meanwhile, faces immense pressure from his manager and his mother, Lynn, to decide whether to retire or attempt a difficult comeback. During a night out at a pub, Georgia and Graham slip away for a private conversation. They bond over the shared experience of losing a parent at a young age and the pressure of maintaining family traditions. Graham encourages Georgia to consider a 'risky but life-changing' teaching opportunity abroad rather than the safe master's program she has planned in Indiana. The sisters eventually reconcile their differences, with Georgia promising to be more supportive of Lizzie's life in London. The story concludes with Graham facing the reality of a slow physical recovery, realizing he must decide his future based on his own needs rather than the expectations of his fans or the team.
