    • The CEO's 'daily silent meditation' that prevents her from being disturbed for business
    • The protagonist knocking the love interest into a literal canal within minutes of arriving in the country

    Full story (spoilers)
Amy Bellefarr is a successful VP of Product Development at Blossom, a New York wellness company led by the eccentric, meditation-obsessed Naomi. Amy is tasked with launching 'Hacking Your Health,' a line of meal prep kits that incorporate health supplements. However, their consulting chef, Jean-Paul, quits in a rage because the supplements ruin the flavor of his French cuisine. Desperate to save the project, Amy targets Marcello Favero, an acclaimed Italian chef who left New York to run a cooking school in Venice. When Marcello hangs up on her, Amy decides to fly to Venice and enroll in his three-week advanced cooking course to pitch him in person. Upon arriving, she accidentally knocks Marcello into a canal, earning the nickname 'idiot tourist.' During the course, Amy bonds with fellow students: Jessica, an aspiring chef; Olivia, a recent divorcee; and Bradford, a history professor. Marcello remains skeptical of Amy’s corporate approach to food, arguing that nourishment comes from fresh, organic ingredients rather than science-based supplements. As they explore Venice togetherβ€”visiting markets, vineyards, and glass-blowing shopsβ€”Amy begins to relax and embrace the Italian lifestyle. Marcello takes her to his family's restaurant, where they collaborate on a pasta dish that his father, Giovanni, actually puts on the menu. As the course ends, Marcello agrees to work with Blossom on the condition that the recipes remain natural and the production stays in Venice. However, Naomi refuses to compromise on the supplement-heavy brand and demands Amy return to New York immediately. Realizing that her corporate job no longer aligns with her newfound values, Amy quits Blossom. Just as she is about to leave for the airport, Marcello finds her at the Bridge of Sighs. He confesses his love, referencing the legend that a kiss under the bridge at sunset leads to eternal love. Amy decides to stay in Venice to be with Marcello and pursue a more authentic life.
