    Full story (spoilers)
Jamie is an artist who has spent the last year focusing on her children's art school, Canvas Creations, rather than her own painting. Her father is eager to expand the business into multiple locations, but Jamie feels unfulfilled. Her best friend Ava, a firm believer in manifestation, convinces Jamie to create a vision board. Jamie paints a specific scene: herself at a solo art show in a Parisian colonnade, being handed a single rose by a 'dream man' whose face is obscured. Shortly after, Max—Ava's brother and Jamie's childhood tormentor—moves in next door to work as a groundskeeper at the local botanical gardens. While Jamie finds Max's lack of career ambition exasperating, they begin to bond during morning runs. Jamie's vision board begins to manifest when she meets Michael Herman, the head of a prestigious arts foundation. Michael is the literal embodiment of her painting: he is cultured, handsome, and even brings her the exact rose from her vision. He invites her to an art event at a colonnade that matches her painting perfectly. Despite the 'perfect' alignment with her board, Jamie feels a lack of emotional spark with Michael. Meanwhile, Max reveals a vulnerability beneath his joking exterior, eventually confessing that the 'cruel' secret admirer letters he wrote to her in high school weren't a prank—he actually meant every word but was too scared to admit his feelings. As the Cherry Blossom Arts Festival approaches, Jamie is accepted into the emerging artist showcase. However, she struggles to finish her submission because she is torn between the business expansion her father wants and her desire to paint full-time. Ava, fearing Max will break Jamie's heart due to his history of moving from city to city, tells Max that Jamie is better off with the stable and 'perfect' Michael. Heartbroken, Max pulls away and tells Jamie she should be with Michael. Jamie realizes that Michael, while perfect on paper, isn't the one she loves. She breaks up with Michael and tells her father she doesn't want to run a business empire; she just wants to paint. After losing her spot in the showcase due to a missed deadline, the curator Renee is so moved by Jamie's new, authentic work that she finds a way to display it anyway. Jamie confronts Max at the botanical gardens, where he reveals he has accepted a permanent position as a landscape architect to prove his commitment. They confess their love and Jamie's new painting—a tribute to their real connection—is featured at the festival.
