Matt Frewer is one of those leads who shows up with a partner already attached. Across his six films from 2000 to 2016 he made four of them alongside Kenneth Welsh, which is a real pairing, not a coincidence, and the two clearly knew how to share a scene. His work here leans toward mystery rather than the small-town romance the network is known for, including The Hound of the Baskervilles from 2000 and The Case of the Whitechapel Vampire from 2002. His best-reviewed outing is Love in Paradise from 2016, which at 6.5 sits a notch above the rest, with the Whitechapel Vampire close behind at 6.
