    Full story (spoilers)
The film opens with sisters Ella and Marianne Dashwood hosting a successful holiday party for their business, Dashworks. Marianne is the 'sense' of the operation—organized and cautious—while Ella is the 'sensibility'—creative, impulsive, and a risk-taker. Meanwhile, Edward Ferris has recently taken over as CEO of Ferris Wheel Toys from his father, Lloyd. Edward is under immense pressure to secure a deal with the Laurent Toy Store Chain, but he is overly reliant on data and spreadsheets, lacking the playful spirit his father once brought to the company. Ella and Edward first meet at an art gallery where they clash over a modern painting; Edward finds it nonsensical, while Ella finds it inspiring. Their paths cross again when Brandon Williams, the Dashwoods' lawyer and Edward's cousin, suggests Edward hire Dashworks to plan a last-minute corporate party for the Laurents on December 23rd. Despite their initial friction, Edward hires them, and Ella begins pushing him to incorporate more festive 'merriment' into his life and business. She encourages him to decorate his sterile home and even leads him to conduct a focus group with actual children rather than just analyzing sales figures. As they spend time together, including a snowy afternoon building snowmen with Edward's assistant's son, Thomas, a romantic spark develops. However, conflict arises when Edward's father, Lloyd, expresses disapproval of Edward's 'haphazard' new methods. Two days before the party, a venue booking error leaves them without a location. Ella saves the day by moving the event to Edward's house. At the party, Ella overhears Edward telling a board member that the Dashwoods are 'unsuitable' for a future project; she doesn't realize he is actually protecting them from a notoriously difficult client who doesn't pay bills. Heartbroken and also believing Edward is rekindling a romance with his VP, Lucy Steele, Ella leaves early. On Christmas Day, Edward visits the Dashwood home to clarify the misunderstandings. He explains that he and Lucy are just friends and that his 'unsuitable' comment was meant to shield her. He presents her with the 'destiny scarf' she had admired earlier, and the two confess their love. The film concludes with the business deal secured, the sisters' partnership strengthened, and a romantic resolution for both Ella and Edward, as well as Marianne and Brandon.
