Why we’d put this one on
A classic career-versus-heart holiday romance carried by a likable cast. Danica McKellar plays Christina, an ambitious flagship-store manager chasing a promotion to run the company's first international location, who has to enlist a struggling single-father handyman, played by David Haydn-Jones, to help pull it off. The retail-at-Christmas backdrop gives it plenty of festive bustle, and the slow-build romance is gentle. Deidre Hall co-stars as the corporate boss, adding a little starry sparkle. It is a straightforward, low-weirdness comfort watch, the kind you put on when you want something warm and familiar rather than wild. McKellar fans will find her in easy, charming form here.
