    Wait, what?

The quirks and curveballs that make this one a little weirder than your average Hallmark. No spoilers, promise.

    • The heavy use of a Mary Oliver poem as a sales tactic for fishing rods.
    • A high-stakes romantic reconciliation centered entirely around the technical specifications of a vacuum cleaner.
    • The protagonist being dumped via text message while live on a home shopping broadcast.
    • An Egyptian-themed escape room used as a serious corporate training tool.

    Full story (spoilers)
The film opens at the Shopping from Home Channel (SHC) studios, where Terrie Carpenter, a dedicated and highly prepared host, is introduced alongside her rival, David Crabtree. David is known for his laid-back approach and his signature catchphrase—borrowed from Mary Oliver—asking viewers what they plan to do with their 'one wild and precious life.' The status quo is upended when the network's icon, Sharyn St. Clair, announces her retirement and reveals that she is looking for a successor for her prime-time slot. Terrie and David are the frontrunners, but their rivalry is complicated when Terrie's usual co-host, Savannah, is put on bed rest, forcing Terrie and David to work together. Their first joint segment selling a 'reversible umbrella' goes off the rails when Terrie receives a breakup text from her boyfriend, Noah, leading to ten seconds of dead air. Despite this, Sharyn notices that their viewership numbers spike due to their natural friction and chemistry. To build teamwork, David takes Terrie to an Egyptian-themed escape room, where Terrie’s logic and David’s intuition help them 'escape' and begin to see each other’s strengths. Meanwhile, David is secretly courted by a rival e-commerce giant, Daintree, to head their new live-streaming division. As they prepare for the 'Monthly Pick'—the network's biggest sales event—Terrie’s ex-boyfriend Noah attempts a grand gesture by proposing to her live on-air during a jewelry segment. Terrie rejects him, realizing she no longer wants the 'perfect' life he represented. David, fearing the vulnerability of his growing feelings for Terrie, initially decides to take the Daintree job to 'simplify' things. However, during their final co-hosting segment for a high-end vacuum, they use the product as a metaphor for life; Terrie admits she’s tired of trying to be perfect, and David realizes that 'vacuuming' (doing the hard work of a relationship) is worth it with the right person. David turns down the Daintree offer, and Sharyn officially names them as her joint successors, cementing their partnership in both business and love.
