Why we’d put this one on

Danica McKellar plays Lizzie, hired as house manager for a grand Virginia estate as it is prepped for sale, where she takes on planning one final Christmas Eve gala for the Marley family, a clan that feels like a family in name only. Neal Bledsoe is the eldest son she butts heads with. The appeal is the setting and the soft repair of a fractured household, with The Wonder Years' McKellar bringing her easy warmth. It is gentle and earnest rather than weird, a 6.7 cozy-estate holiday story about thawing a chilly family. Bigger and more elegant than the average Hallmark setting. A lovely December watch.
