    Wait, what?

The quirks and curveballs that make this one a little weirder than your average Hallmark. No spoilers, promise.

    • The manager explicitly states she is 28 but 25 'on paper' to maintain her 'it girl' status.
    • The family has a tradition of cutting a tree by hand to avoid 'severing a limb' (theirs or the tree's).
    • Adelaide's 'signature dish' is literally just 'something burnt' (pancakes).

    Full story (spoilers)
The film opens with Adelaide Kay, Nashville's newest 'it girl,' performing her hit single 'Rock Star.' Despite her success, she is stifled by her manager, Russell, who controls her image, lies about her age, and forces her to maintain a fake PR romance with fellow star Cole Wyatt. During a brief stop in Preston, Virginia, Adelaide wanders off the bus and meets Dylan Lapp, a local musician. The bus departs without her, leaving her stranded without a phone. She is taken in by Dylan's sister, Hailey, and their parents, Emma and Dale, who run a Christmas tree farm. Adelaide introduces herself simply as 'Addie' to avoid the spotlight. As Addie integrates into farm life, she learns the Lapps are facing foreclosure due to a local economic downturn and a previous year's drought. She encourages Hailey’s dream of turning the farm into a year-round 'Winter Wonderland' destination to generate revenue. Meanwhile, she and Dylan begin writing music together, using a melody Dylan composed. Dylan reveals he gave up a music career to support his parents, while Adelaide confesses her struggle with the 'manufactured' nature of her professional life. Their bond deepens during chores, sleigh rides, and songwriting sessions, though Dylan eventually realizes her true identity. Conflict arises when Russell tracks Adelaide down. He demands she return to Philadelphia for a high-profile appearance on 'The Talk' to promote her fake relationship with Cole. Adelaide initially complies, feeling she cannot walk away from the career she worked a lifetime to build. However, during the live broadcast, she has an epiphany. She goes off-script, publicly admitting the romance with Cole is a stunt and thanking the Lapp family for showing her what is real. She fires Russell as her manager—though later offers to work with him only if it is on her terms—and returns to Preston. In the climax, Adelaide organizes a benefit concert at the Lapp farm on Christmas Eve, choosing it over her scheduled performance at the prestigious Palace. She convinces a reluctant Dylan to perform their original song with her. The concert is a massive success, raising enough money to save the farm. The film concludes with Dylan deciding to pursue music again, the farm's future secured, and Adelaide finally performing as her authentic self, having found both her voice and a partner in Dylan.
