    Wait, what?

The quirks and curveballs that make this one a little weirder than your average Hallmark. No spoilers, promise.

    • A decommissioned military truck is repurposed as a Christmas present rescue vehicle
    • The leads call their Santa-in-a-ventilation-duct stunt 'Operation Old St. Nick'
    • A children's gift is literally called the 'Christmas Carol Sing Along Christmas Doll'

    Full story (spoilers)
Blair Birch and Josh Cannon are former TBS rivals whose competitive streaks and family baggage still shape every interaction. Blair has just decided to switch into infantry, which explodes Josh’s hopes of geo-preferencing the same duty station and revives the bitter clash between their fathers, Richard Birch and Cliff Cannon. After Blair and Josh embarrass a senior officer by arguing in public, they are assigned to Christmas duty together from Christmas Eve through Christmas morning. A sudden snowstorm shuts down deliveries north of Ashwood, and the base children are about to wake up without presents, so Blair proposes a mission: gather every ordered gift from multiple stores and bring them back in time. The pair travels in an old 5-ton truck, and the road trip slowly turns into an enforced partnership. They trade barbs about Christmas traditions, their families, and their military backgrounds, but they also discover they share the same formative experiences, the same love of challenge, and a mutual respect that has been buried under years of pride. Blair admits she wants an adventurous life and a true partner, while Josh starts to realize he is more comfortable with her than he expected. Their mission becomes more complicated when a key toy is missing, the roads are blocked by a parade, and the truck eventually loses air pressure on the way back. Blair and Josh’s teamwork deepens as they improvise repairs, call in help from Josh’s sister Amanda, and figure out how to retrieve a collector’s train for Blair’s nephew Tate. Blair also reveals that her strict Christmas traditions with her father are really her way of coping with her mother’s death. By Christmas morning, they are late, and Blair takes responsibility to protect Josh’s chances at a promotion. Josh refuses to let her sacrifice herself alone and goes to Richard and Colonel Clarkin dressed as Santa to defend Blair’s work and character. The old grudges between the fathers finally begin to thaw, Blair is recommended for the company commander role she wants, and the remaining presents are delivered in costume as the families come together. In the end, the Christmas mission turns into a real emotional breakthrough. Blair and Josh acknowledge that they work well together, that they want the same kind of partnership, and that Christmas—and their lives—feel fuller when they stop trying to do everything alone. The story closes with music, family warmth, and a playful promise of a rematch, leaving their romance clearly underway.
